Chilis: Classic Ribeye

Steak had good flavoring but it was cooked too rare. The toast that came with it was really good. Mashes potatoes were tasty and. Broccoli was meh.

Seattle: Saffron Grill

Indian place located in North Seattle. I got the chicken curry. It wasn't as good as Dar Bar. The naan was huge! Good portions. The complementary dessert ball was not good. Like rotten ginger tasting.

Seattle: Picolinos

I got the crab salad which was amazing! Great flavor and the avocado was a nice topper. I got the creme brûlée for dessert. Very good but very rich! I couldn't finish the whole thing. I am ashamed.

Seattle: Skillet Diner

We ordered poutine to share - hand-cut fries, gravy, cheddar and herbs. I ordered the pork belly and cornmeal waffle with 2 eggs over easy. Amazing! Pork belly was tender and melted in your mouth.

SJC: Ruby Tuesdays

I got the chicken tacos. No good! The sauce was ok but the onions were over cooked and just mush. It was also horrible service! We waited a long time and people were seated after us and was done before. They also forgot about my side of grilled zucchini and it came after we were done with our food.

Homemade: Mexican Night

The Chu's, mother and Nang came over to make tacos. I made chili verde and Mexican rice. Jennifer fried some fish and made her guacamole and the toppings for the tacos. Mother brought larb and pork with pickled veggie. Not pictured was the corn that we baked in the oven. SO MUCH FOOD.

Whole Foods Cherrries

I got excited about firm cherries and totally paid more for these cherries. They were delicious but not $20 delicious!

Tomo Sushi

Located in the Mitsuwa shopping center off Saratoga. I got the nigiri sushi dinner, Eric Chu got the chirashi, Jennifer got a roll and mother got ramen. We got this weird complementary appetizer dish, not sure if it was fish or some sort of intestine. This place is expensive! And it wasn't all that special. Blacklisted!

Coworker Birthday: Strawberry Poke Cake

Usually with poke cakes, you'll fill the holes with some jello mixture but for this cake, strawberry purée was used. The frosting is also a cream cheese frosting from scratch. Delicious!

Pasta Pomodoro: Panna Cotta

Went to past pomodoro just for dessert. I picked up their panna cotta. It's the only place I know that has it regularly on their menu. The berry sauce was ok but the panna cotta is consistent and good.

CPK: Jambalaya

Pretty legit. I like that they were generous with the shrimp.

Front Porch

Located in San Francisco. I got 2 appetizers as my meal, fried okra and chicken gumbo. Both were very good. The gumbo could have been a bit spicier. Eric B got the fried chicken with all mashed potatoes. Legit!

Pasta Market

Pasta Market is located off Coleman near my place. I got the fetuccini with meat sauce and it come with bread. The bread was good, nice and soft. Comes with this cream cheese with a hit of spiciness to it. Pasta was decent. You can tell it was fresh because it fell apart easily. Still good.

Dinner At The Chus: Salads, Guac and Wings

Jennifer made her famous guacamole and she tried a new sauce recipe for the wings. It came out really good! We need more wings next time! Eric Chu made the salads and Jennifer thinks we always overdress them.

Portos Bakery

Jennifer went down to LA again and brought me back these delicious treats! Potato balls with meat sauce in the middle. It looks firm but the whole thing just melts in your mouth. Then guava cheese strudel which I toasted too long but I still ate it and it was awesome!

Snak Club Gummy Worms

Saturated in yummy crystals of flavor. They're sour and great alternative to the trolli sour brite crawlers.

Pepper Lunch

Pepper Lunch is located on the Asian side of McCarthy Ranch. I ordered the #1 with an egg. It comes out on a sizzling plater and you add soy sauce and stir it up and cook it some more. Delicious! Your clothes gets a bit stinky but not as bad as hot pot or the meat grilling buffet. Will come back soon!

Fremont Thai Temple

We got the usual noodle soup and papaya salad. This time we got BBQ pork with sticky rice, yellow chicken curry, pork and green bean stir fry. Not pictures was the kanom krok, roti, Thai ice teas and mango with sticky rice. Everything was good except the roti! They make it from frozen packaged dough! What's the point if we can just buy and do it ourselves?! They should be ashamed!

Chilis Molten Chocolate Cake

Delicious! Very rich and I can't finish one by myself. But I usually can finish all the ice cream. I like attacking the chocolate shell.

Coworker Birthday: Raspberry Jello Poke Cake

Pretty decent. Could have used more whipped cream. I got a corner piece and I could tell it was a little over cooked.

SoCal Grubs Part 2

We had ice cream at the Santa Monica pier. We also had Mexican wheelie chips but we were too eager to eat them to take a photo. Good fish dinner at Bonefish Grill. And them rice puff and strawberry cake from Queens Bakery. (I don't know why these photos don't upload in order)

We had dim sum after Ape's graduation with the whole family. Then we snacked on a pot of milk tea from Half and Half. It made me so full that I couldn't finish my ramen noodle that night. The egg in the ramen noodle was the best part!
