Woodbridge Pizzeria

Another place located in Lodi. I got an order of the frog legs. I have had frog legs before and it does taste like chicken. However, this time it tasted more like fish. Maybe because it was deep fried? Tasty but a bit on the dry side.

Cactus Mexican Restaurant

This place is located in Lodi and can accommodate a big crowd. Complementary chips and salsa. They had different kinda of chips and the flour ones are the best! Fluffy but crunchy. I had a Mexican friend with me and she said their guacamole was ok and I thought it was good. Goes to show I don't know shit. We both agreed that my chili verde had a very good sauce. It was a satisfying meal!

Tu Mero Mole

We went to this hole in the wall Mexican place in San Jose off of Union and Camden. I got the cabrito estillo Los altos de jalisco which is roasted tender goat meat topped with their special sauce. I got all rice and no beans. It was my first time eating goat and it was tasty and delicious! It is a mix between lamb and pork. Will eat again for sure! Two photos, one with and without flash.

LeQuy

I found this Vietnamese restaurant in Campbell on yelp which is the closest one to my work. I stopped by and got bun bo hue and a Thai iced tea. The BBH had no flavor! The broth was very blah so I was squirting chili sauce in to try to make some flavor. At least the Thai ice tea was tasty but too much ice.

Pizza Chicago

Kris Reynolds is visiting from Singapore so the two of us went to Pizza Chicago in Los Altos. We got an appetizer of garlic bread which was delicious! Nice flavor and the right amount of crunch. I got the spaghetti with meatballs which was alright, meatballs were kind of salty. It came with a soup which I picked chicken fiesta. Doesn't look appetizing but it was very good! It also had a little spiciness to it. Kris Reynolds made me take a photo of his pepperoni and bacon pizza to post on the blog.

Mezbaan

This is an Indian restaurant in the rivermark plaza. We got butter chicken, chicken curry and an order of naan. The meal comes with rice. Butter chicken was good! Had a little spiciness to it which I liked. The chicken curry was nasty! Flavor was not good at all. The naan was alright, it was soggy by the time I got home. Rice was eh.

I ordered grilled pork with vermicelli and this is what I got. Not pictured are the veggies that goes with it. Who the hell serves their noodles like this?! I had to tear it apart when I prepared my bowl. What a hassle! And this place was overpriced for Vietnamese food! Blah!

Lillie Maes House of Soul Food

I got the fried chicken and ribs combination dinner plate. It's served with corn bread and two sides which I picked fried okra and mashed potatoes. Everything was awesome except the corn bread. It tasted like perfume but it's an ingredient they use? Maybe rose water? The fried okra was a great snack! Crispy and slimy on the inside. Potato salad was tart and heavy on the mustard flavor but good! Ribs were excellent and had great flavor! Fried chicken! The best part was the skin! Everything was very heavy and I got three meals out of it. Must come back with the Chu's!

Coworkers Easter Lamb Cake

My coworker made this lamb cake for Easter. It's pound cake made from a mix with white frosting and coconut flakes. Delicious! The pound cake wasn't heavy like normal. It was a nice sweet treat.

Pho Kim Long: Bun Rieu Oc

We went to Pho Kim Long with the parents on Easter. Thomas and Judy knew exactly what they wanted and places their order right away, meanwhile, Jennifer, Eric Chu and I were frantically trying to decide what size of the orders we want and my mom was outside with a sleeping Sarah. What a mess! We tried bun rieu oc for the first time and got the usual combination beef pho, bun bo hue and BBQ pork with vermicelli. The bun rieu oc was good but there are other more grubalicious items there. Limeade was good but on the sweet side this time. I added water to it.

Homemade: Fruit Tart

I made fruit tart again and although I have made it many times, I am just barely starting to figure out the correct layout so each piece will have all the variety of fruit. Notice that I changed my mind in some areas so there is a double row of blackberries and raspberries. Placing the raspberries point up made more room. The arrangement is also seasonal. This time the blueberries were huge! They're almost as big as the raspberries! And from now on, I draw the cut lines with a toothpick to use as guidelines for fruit placement. Starting to look more and more like perfection!

Pizza Bocca Lupo

I got the Joe's Special pizza made with crushes tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, parmigiana reggiano, extra virgin olive oil, sausage, funghi, and extra mozzarella. I don't even know what some of the ingredients are but the pizza was really good! Tasty tomato sauce and good sausage made the pizza a hit. You can also really taste the basil. Yums!

Chilis 6 oz Sirloin

I got the classic 6 oz sirloin from the Lighter Choices section of the menu. What a mistake! I was still hungry afterwards! I didn't care for the carne asada rub on the steak, I thought it overpowered the steak. Steamed broccoli was blah. Disappointed! And bad lighting!

CPK: Baja Fish Tacos

Sautéed Mahi Mahi, shredded cabbage and ranchito sauce served with tortilla chips and roasted tomato salsa. The salsa was amazing! Had a very nice kick to it. The tacos were good but putting the salsa on definitely jazzed it up. I enjoyed eating this meal.

Mac 'n' cheese lightly fried with panko, served on creamy cheese sauce. It's on their light bites menu. Good to hold me over before my real food comes. I'm not a big cheese fan so it didn't seem like anything spectacular to me but Eric B said he'd order it again.

I got a "pot" of the new England clam chowder from Erik's deli cafe. It came with a piece of bread. I don't like poppy seeds so the bread is a no go for me. Chowder was good with big pieces of clam but it could have been more flavorful.

Dennys Nachos and Milkshake

I got a half order of the zesty nachos with no sour cream and a strawberry milkshake. They give you the excess milkshake in a small glass. I like that, you get every but of what you paid for. It was so good and creamy and oh so fattening! Nachos were good but there was too much stuff. The chips became soggy. :(

Skydive Perris

This is a pulled pork sandwich from the Perris Valley dropzone. There is a restaurant located on the DZ but this sandwich is from a husband and wife team who BBQ near the pool. The pork was smoked for hours and was very tender. The hot sauce was amazing! Tangy and hot and it made the sandwich mouth watering!
